Veeda AI is a Toronto-headquartered firm, established in June 2026, focused on building the next generation of multimodal foundation world models for Physical AI. The company was founded by a team of distinguished researchers from Nvidia: Dr. Sanja Fidler, a renowned computer scientist and professor at the University of Toronto who led Nvidia's AI research lab in Toronto for eight years, serves as the leader; she is joined by former Nvidia colleagues Zan Gojcic as CTO and Huan Ling as Chief Scientist. The founding team's background is rooted in developing world models and algorithms for understanding three-dimensional data at Nvidia's Spatial Intelligence Lab.

Shortly after its incorporation, Veeda AI secured one of Canada's largest seed financing rounds, raising over US$90 million. The round was co-led by prominent venture capital firms Khosla Ventures and Radical Ventures, signaling strong investor confidence in the company's mission.
