Cosmic Buildings, Inc. is a construction technology company that designs and builds custom, prefabricated homes engineered to be self-sustaining and carbon-neutral. The company was founded in San Francisco by Sasha Jokic, an architect with over 15 years of experience in construction robotics and academia who was motivated by his upbringing in war-torn Yugoslavia and a desire to address the climate and housing crises.

The company's core technology combines an AI-driven software platform with mobile robotic microfactories. The AI platform manages the entire building lifecycle, from design and permitting to fabrication and assembly, which can reduce project timelines by up to 50%. This end-to-end service includes site analysis, customized layouts, 3D renderings, and managing the full permitting process. On-site, mobile microfactories use ABB robots to fabricate panelized components—walls, floors, and roofs—with high precision, which are then assembled. This panelized method provides greater design flexibility than traditional modular construction and reduces waste.

Cosmic homes are all-electric and designed to be net-zero, producing as much energy as they consume annually. Standard features include solar panels, battery storage, high-efficiency systems, and advanced water recycling capabilities. The homes are built with non-combustible, sustainable, and low-emission materials, such as VOC-free finishes and FSC-certified wood. Cosmic serves the California market, building accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and single-family homes, with projects ranging from small backyard units to large residences. As a Public Benefit Corporation, Cosmic is also involved in philanthropic efforts, including donating a home for every ten sold and providing free design services to families impacted by wildfires.
