Established in 2015 and headquartered in Lille, France, Core For Tech developed an intelligent technology to combat drowsiness while driving. The company was founded by Stéphane Rigaut, who served as CEO & CFO.

The firm's core product was a software solution designed to monitor and predict driver fatigue. This was accomplished through a mobile application that analyzed the user's heart rate variability, a key physiological indicator of drowsiness. The technology could utilize native sensors in a vehicle or be retrofitted, transforming the data into early warning signs of fatigue for the driver. In addition to monitoring the driver's state, the application also provided information on driving conditions such as traffic, road type, and weather. The business model was primarily business-to-consumer (B2C).

Core For Tech successfully navigated the startup ecosystem, securing a total of $5.65 million in funding over two rounds. Its initial funding round occurred in 2018, followed by a significant Series A round on October 12, 2021, which raised €3.5 million ($4.05 million). This later round was led by Supernova Invest and included participation from Bpifrance, Valeo, and angel investor Frederic Bruneteau. Despite these achievements, the company ultimately ceased operations, entering into liquidation on April 2, 2024.
