About Computomics
Computomics is a Tübingen-based agricultural biotechnology company applying machine learning and bioinformatics to genomic data for crop breeding and related life-science research. Its platform helps breeders and ag/biotech clients interpret grain, vegetable, fruit and other genomes — supporting trait discovery, climate-resilience breeding and accelerated understanding of sequencing projects across agriculture, microbiome and metabolomics use cases. Spun out of the University of Tübingen and previously backed by HTGF, BASF Venture Capital and Amathaon Capital, Computomics raised a €6.3 million Series B in August 2026 led by Convent Capital with HTGF, Amathaon Capital and MBG Baden-Württemberg, to help crop breeders stay ahead of heat and drought.
