CMTX
Precision consumable parts for semiconductor etching processes
About CMTX
CMTX Co., Ltd. (formerly COMA Technology) is a South Korean manufacturer of electronic components specializing in consumable parts for the semiconductor etching process. Founded on February 1, 2013, by CEO Park Sung-hoon as Komatechnology, the company has expanded its business from ceramic and sapphire parts to silicon parts. Through its subsidiary CELIC, CMTX operates an integrated production system, handling everything from the production of single and polycrystalline silicon ingots to precision processing, cleaning, and inspection.
The company provides core consumable components, such as silicon rings and electrodes, used directly in the plasma environment of the etching process, a critical step in semiconductor manufacturing that determines performance and yield. CMTX has developed a fully integrated manufacturing process for core semiconductor materials, including silicon, ceramic, quartz, and sapphire, covering all stages from raw materials to finished parts. This vertical integration allows for stable quality control, cost competitiveness through process optimization, and the ability to provide customized solutions. The company also has a closed-loop recycling program for silicon parts, developed in partnership with major chip makers.
CMTX serves the global semiconductor market and is the first and only Korean company registered as a primary supplier to TSMC, providing components for its 3- and 2-nanometer advanced process lines. Its client portfolio includes over 31 semiconductor fabs worldwide, such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Micron, Kioxia, and GlobalFoundries. In November 2025, CMTX was named the best supplier in the Front End Spares category by Micron Technology. The company was listed on the KOSDAQ market in November 2025.
