Beijing Aerospace Yuxing Technology Co., Ltd., which also operates under the name Emposat, was established in late 2016 by a team with origins in the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). Positioned as a commercial ground segment operator, the company addresses the critical infrastructure needs of the burgeoning satellite industry. Its primary business involves providing telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) services, alongside data transmission and processing for commercial satellite operators. The company's revenue model is largely based on a "cost per pass" system, where clients are billed each time a satellite utilizes Emposat's ground stations to send or receive data.

Emposat has constructed a global network of over 60 ground stations, with locations in China, Kenya, South Africa, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and through collaborations in Azerbaijan and Argentina. This expansive network is fundamental to its service offering, which supports more than 400 satellites and rockets. Beyond its core TT&C services, the company has diversified its portfolio to include the in-house development and manufacturing of communication hardware such as antennas and baseband equipment. It also provides constellation management software, remote sensing satellite calibration, and comprehensive one-stop solutions for in-orbit satellite management. This integrated approach allows Emposat to offer services covering the entire satellite lifecycle, from launch permit applications to space security services.

Headquartered in Beijing, the company has expanded its presence with multiple branches across China and internationally, including a French subsidiary, SatHD Europe, established in April 2020 to manage its international operations. A significant development in its strategic expansion is the "Emposat Space Cloud" Data Center project launched in 2023. This initiative will offer data center space, private cloud services, and satellite data processing, further solidifying its role as a comprehensive service provider for satellite operators. The company has successfully raised significant capital, with total funding reported to be over $100 million, to fuel its growth and the global expansion of its ground station network.
