About Beewise Technologies

Beewise Technologies provides an AI-powered robotic beehive, the BeeHome, to protect and manage bee colonies at scale. Founded in 2018 by Saar Safra, Eliyah Radzyner, Hallel Schreier, Yossi Sorin, and Boaz Petersil, the company originated from Radzyner's realization as a commercial beekeeper that technology could significantly improve hive management. The first prototype was developed in 2018, leading to the launch of the first-generation BeeHome in 2020. The company has since raised approximately $170 million in total funding through multiple rounds, including a $50 million Series D in June 2025, to support its global expansion and product development.

Beewise's core product, the BeeHome, is a solar-powered, autonomous hive that uses computer vision, AI, and precision robotics to monitor bees 24/7. It provides a climate-controlled environment and automates tasks such as feeding, pest and disease management, and honey harvesting. The system can identify threats like Varroa mites and immediately apply treatments, including a chemical-free heat chamber, which significantly reduces the need for manual intervention and lowers bee mortality. This technology has been shown to reduce annual colony losses to under 10% from an average of over 35%. The BeeHome also features a software platform that allows beekeepers and growers to remotely manage their hives via mobile devices.

The company's business model is centered on providing pollination services to commercial growers and enhancing honey production for beekeepers. By improving hive health, Beewise helps increase crop yields and operational efficiency for its clients, who include large agricultural producers like Olam Food Ingredients and Nuveen Natural Capital. The company operates primarily in the AgTech market, with over 1,240 BeeHomes deployed, pollinating more than 300,000 acres annually. The revenue model involves providing these technology-enabled platforms to commercial beekeepers, helping them reduce operational costs and improve margins.
