Beijing Autoroad Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise focused on core sensor systems for intelligent driving, founded in 2014 by Dr. Zhao Jie. The company's main products include 77GHz automotive millimeter-wave radar systems (for short, medium, and long range) and 77/79GHz automotive short-range Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging systems. These products support a variety of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). In 2018, Autoroad began mass production of its 77GHz mid-range radar that supports AEB. By 2021, the company was supplying its forward mid-range and corner radars for mass production in passenger cars and began exporting to international clients, including those in South Korea.
Autoroad serves domestic and international Tier 1 suppliers and automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Its business model revolves around the research, development, manufacturing, and sale of these advanced radar systems. The company has established a complete IATF16949-compliant production line. Autoroad has also made significant developments in 4D imaging radar, presenting it as a cost-effective alternative to LiDAR.
