Autonomous A2G is a South Korean company specializing in full-stack autonomous driving solutions, encompassing both software and the production of unmanned mobility platforms. Founded in 2018 by former Hyundai Motor engineers Han Ji-Hyeong, Youngcheol Oh, Yoo Byung-Yong, and Heo Myeong-Seon, the company was established with the vision of managing the entire autonomous vehicle development process, from A to Z. Han Ji-Hyeong, who serves as the CEO, and his colleagues left Hyundai Motor to create a company that could deliver a completely integrated system, believing that full-stack control is the most effective way to ensure safety, efficiency, and scalability.

The company's business model focuses on practical applications of Level 4 autonomous technology, primarily through shuttle buses, delivery vans, and other vehicles that operate on fixed or semi-fixed routes. This strategy targets a niche market where consistency and safety are prioritized over high speed, allowing for a more realistic path to commercialization. Autonomous A2G generates revenue through government and local municipality R&D projects, demonstration and service contracts, and partnerships with public transportation operators. In 2025, the company reported sales of approximately 16 billion KRW, a 50% increase from the previous year.

A key product is the "ROii," a self-developed Level 4 autonomous shuttle. The company also develops a LiDAR Infrastructure System (LIS) to enable cooperative autonomous driving. By developing its own hardware and software, Autonomous A2G avoids the liability and integration challenges that can arise from selling software solutions to large automakers. The company has achieved the largest number of autonomous vehicle operation licenses in South Korea, operating 82 vehicles across 14 cities as of early 2026. Its fleet has accumulated over 973,000 kilometers in autonomous driving distance.

Autonomous A2G has secured significant funding, reaching a total of ₩122.5 billion after a pre-IPO round of ₩40.5 billion in March 2026. The company is preparing for an IPO on the KOSDAQ market. Its technological capabilities have been recognized globally, ranking 7th in Guidehouse Insights' 2026 autonomous driving leaderboard. The company is actively expanding internationally, with joint ventures and pilot programs in the United Arab Emirates (with Space42), Singapore (partnering with Grab), and Japan. In February 2026, it became the first in its industry to receive South Korean government approval to export its autonomous driving technology, designated as a "national core technology," to a joint venture in the UAE.
