Founded in July 2025, Attestable quickly secured significant investor interest, raising nearly $20 million in a seed funding round at a valuation of $71 million before it had even launched a product. One of the investors is the Israeli venture capital firm TLV Partners. The startup was co-founded by CEO Dr. Yogev Bar-On, a former software engineer at Meta and a researcher at the Rand Institute; CTO Shahar Papini, a former software engineer at Safe Superintelligence (SSI); and VP R&D Shahar Samocha, a former engineer at Apple and the Israeli blockchain company Starkware. The founding team's background suggests an interest in applying technologies like "Zero Knowledge Proof" from the blockchain world to the AI sector, enabling the verification of data authenticity while sharing minimal information.

Attestable's security layer addresses the growing concern among AI experts about the potential for AI to produce inauthentic-looking data or to present incorrect data as if it were created by a real person. By providing a method to cryptographically verify that an AI system is running trusted configurations, the company helps mitigate risks associated with harmful or non-compliant AI outputs. This is achieved through the use of Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), which isolate execution and encrypt data to protect against interference.
