Aria Networks is a startup that designs and sells AI-native networking solutions aimed at optimizing performance for large-scale AI and GPU infrastructures. The company was founded in January 2025 by CEO Mansour Karam and CTO Subhachandra Chandra. Karam previously founded Apstra, a data center automation company acquired by Juniper Networks in 2020, and held roles at Arista Networks and Big Switch Networks. Chandra brings experience from his time as Director of Software Engineering at Arista Networks.

The firm targets the growing market of "neoclouds"—cloud providers specializing in GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) for AI workloads—and other customers building large AI clusters. Aria's business model involves selling Ethernet switches, along with a server and a cloud component, to help clients maximize the utilization of expensive GPU resources by ensuring optimal network performance. The company asserts that its approach can deliver a tenfold return on investment on network expenditures. In April 2026, Aria Networks announced it had raised $125 million in a Series A funding round with backing from investors including Sutter Hill Ventures, Atreides Management, Valor Equity Partners, and Eclipse Ventures.

Aria's core product is an AI-optimized networking fabric designed to be "chip-agnostic," allowing operators to use hardware from different vendors like Nvidia or Google without redesigning their setup. The solution is built on Broadcom's Tomahawk 5 ASICs and utilizes the open-source SONiC network operating system. Aria's primary differentiator is its focus on leveraging fine-grain, microsecond-level telemetry data from the network hardware. By collecting, processing, and analyzing this data with AI, the system moves beyond deterministic, rule-based automation to a probabilistic intelligence that can react in milliseconds to optimize data paths and network performance. This focus on "token efficiency" aims to reduce the cost and complexity of running AI workloads.
