About Applied Computing
Applied Computing (formerly Kashmir Intelligence) is a London industrial-AI company founded in 2023 by Callum Adamson (CEO) and Sam Tukra (Chief AI Officer) that builds Orbital, a multi-foundation model for oil, gas, refining and petrochemical plants. Orbital combines time-series, physics-based and language models so operators can analyse sensor streams, engineering documentation and process constraints together, flag anomalies, investigate causes and simulate fixes across a facility in minutes rather than days. The company reports going from stealth to double-digit millions of ARR in under 18 months, with Orbital in use at large upstream, refining and petrochemical operators, partnerships including KBR (INSITE 3.0 integration for ammonia and energy projects) and Wipro, and offices in London, Houston and Bengaluru. After an earlier £9 million seed led by Stride.vc and Repeat VC, Applied Computing raised a $20 million Series A in July 2026 led by KBR with Databricks Ventures, to expand internationally, grow research and engineering, and deepen energy-client deployments.
