AntMoney
Embedded finance platform for micro-investing
About AntMoney
Ant Money is an embedded finance platform designed to help individuals begin saving and investing. The company was co-founded in March 2020 by CEO Michael Gleason and Walter Cruttenden, a serial fintech entrepreneur who also co-founded Acorns and other investment firms. Cruttenden's experience includes founding Cruttenden Roth (now Roth Capital) and the investment banking arm of E*Trade. Gleason previously founded and sold Consumer Brands.

The platform operates through a suite of mobile applications that enable users to generate micro-income from various activities, which is then automatically invested into the stock market. This direct-to-consumer service primarily targets U.S. consumers who may have apprehension about entering the investment market or lack the initial funds to do so. In December 2021, Ant Money raised $20 million in a Series A funding round led by Franklin Venture Partners, RX3 Ventures, and others. Concurrent with the funding, Ant Money acquired Blast, a game-based savings application also founded by Cruttenden, in a stock-for-stock merger. This acquisition expanded Ant Money's portfolio to three core apps: ATM, Blast, and Learn & Earn.
The ATM app allows users to generate micro-income by participating in brand-matching programs and providing consumer insights anonymously. The Blast app enables gamers to save and invest money while playing video games, transferring cents for in-game actions. The Learn & Earn app, developed in collaboration with Junior Achievement USA, rewards users for completing financial literacy modules, with the earnings automatically invested. All investments are managed by Ant Money Advisors, a wholly-owned, SEC-registered investment advisor and robo-advisor embedded within the applications. The business model is based on a subscription structure, where members pay a low monthly fee to access services like cash advances without credit checks, offered through its ATM Instant Cash™ service. Revenue is also supported by potential transaction fees.
