About Andersen EV

EVIOS Plc is a UK-based company focused on the electric vehicle (EV) charging market for residential and workplace environments. Founded in 2021 and officially launched in April 2022 by David Martell – a serial entrepreneur who previously founded Trafficmaster and later Chargemaster (acquired by BP in 2018) – the company benefits from deep sector experience. EVIOS manufactures its charging points at its facility in Stewartby, Bedfordshire, and uses its own team of electricians for nationwide installation, allowing it to control product quality and the end-to-end customer experience.

The business initially operated under a dual-brand strategy. Its core product, the EVIOS One, targeted the mainstream market with a smart, user-friendly home charger. In October 2022, EVIOS Plc acquired Andersen EV, a premium home charging brand known for its design-led hardware and its role as a preferred installer for brands such as Porsche and Jaguar Land Rover. This combination allowed the company to address both the volume segment (EVIOS One) and the high-end design segment (Andersen EV), generating revenue through hardware sales and all-inclusive installation packages, including financing options such as interest-free monthly payments.

The EVIOS One was engineered with features designed to simplify home charging. It includes a large colour touchscreen displaying real-time data on miles added and charging cost, and offers three modes: “Pure Speed” for the fastest possible charge, “Pure Green” to prioritise solar-generated energy, and “Pure Value” to optimise for off-peak energy tariffs. The charger connects to home Wi-Fi, integrates with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and supports PIN-controlled access for multiple users, making it suitable for multi-car households or shared properties. It is available in 7kW single-phase and 22kW three-phase versions to suit different electrical setups.

Following the successful integration of Andersen EV and the growing strategic importance of the premium brand, the group transitioned from a dual-brand structure to a unified identity centred on Andersen. In March 2024, the legal entity EVIOS Plc formally changed its name to Andersen EV Plc. This rebranding effectively retires “EVIOS” as the corporate name while keeping the underlying business, products, manufacturing and installation capabilities in place under the Andersen EV brand, which now serves as the company’s main customer-facing identity.
