Amyl Therapeutics is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company founded in November 2020 by Dr. Florent Gros and Dr. Pierre Vandepapelière. The company's business model is centered on the discovery and preclinical development of its therapeutic candidates with the goal of moving them into clinical trials. The initial focus is on AL amyloidosis, a rare systemic disease, with plans to expand into neurodegenerative diseases. Amyl Therapeutics has secured significant funding to advance its pipeline. In June 2021, it closed a Series A round of €18.3 million ($22.3 million), which included equity and non-dilutive funding.
