Agriodor is a Rennes INRAE spin-off co-founded in 2019 by Alain Thibault and Dr Ené Leppik that develops olfactory biocontrol products from semiochemicals—kairomones and allomones that attract or repel specific pests without harming pollinators. Its platform formulates these scents into farm-ready products; INSIOR® Gr A, distributed in France by Syngenta, is used on sugar beet against the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae), with 2025 trials reporting ~40% fewer aphids versus untreated fields. The company holds eight patents across three families, employs about 42 people including eight PhDs, and is expanding beyond sugar beet toward fruit flies, whiteflies and thrips. In April 2026 Agriodor raised a €15 million Series A led by the Environmental and Solidarity Revolution Fund managed by Crédit Mutuel Impact, with Région Sud Investissement, CAAP Création (Crédit Agricole Alpes Provence), Capagro, CapHorn and SWEN Capital Partners, to scale products internationally and deepen AI-assisted chemical-ecology R&D.
