This technology is versatile, finding application in lithium-ion batteries, next-generation lithium-metal batteries, and solid-state batteries. Building on this foundation, 3DOM is developing advanced batteries optimized for a range of uses, from various mobility applications to stationary energy storage solutions.

Beyond battery technology, the company's research and development extend to other critical areas of electrification. 3DOM is engineering high-efficiency motors that utilize a Halbach array magnet structure to deliver high torque and low vibration, a project recognized by Japan's A-STEP Program. Furthermore, it is developing fuel cell technology that uses biomethanol, characterized by high efficiency and reduced reliance on expensive platinum catalysts. In the maritime sector, 3DOM is creating essential technologies, including battery systems and motors, to facilitate the electrification of vessels and reduce CO₂ emissions from marine transport. The company operates as a private entity and has received investment from HFA Capital.
