The duo met in 1998 playing the original Grand Theft Auto online, a foundation that speaks to their shared lifelong passion for gaming.

The company operates on a lean "rock band model," emphasizing a small, cross-disciplinary team of senior talent to foster agility and creative freedom. This approach was adopted following lessons learned from previous ventures about the challenges of rapid scaling. In December 2024, 10six Games secured a six-figure, pre-seed angel investment round. The funding was led by Huw Bishop and included backing from syndicates like Angels Invest Wales, PlayCap (a global network of women investors in gaming), and The Games Angels, with match-funding from the Development Bank of Wales. This capital is aimed at pioneering hyper-personalization in gaming through the use of generative AI.

The studio's debut title, currently in early alpha, is "YOU vs ZOMBIES," a roguelike action RPG. The game's core feature is its proprietary generative AI technology, which allows players to create unique in-game characters by simply describing them. This technology extends to generating a custom, dark-comedy horror storyline for each character, along with bespoke abilities, stats, and skill trees, ensuring that every gameplay experience is distinct and shareable. The narrative involves the player, in spirit form, time-traveling to the start of a zombie apocalypse to prevent humanity's downfall.
