Methodology. Venture capital funds from Dealroom's funds database, counted in the year of the (final) close or, for open funds, the announcement, and assigned to the geography of the fund manager's headquarters. Fund sizes converted to USD. Funds with an undisclosed size count toward fund counts but not toward the dollar totals. The current year shows the year to date, with the grey segment projecting the full year at the current pace. EMEA is Europe plus Africa and the Middle East (incl. Israel, the UAE and Saudi Arabia). Nordics: Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Iceland.
