Unicorns with European founders are valued higher in the US than in Europe

653 unicorns founded since 1990 have a founding team that is at least half European. The 197 based in the US have a median latest valuation of $2.0B, against $1.5B for the 456 based in Europe. Benelux, home to Booking.com and Adyen, is the one European region above the US at the median, the top 10% and the top 1%.
