Key findings

• Quebec's tech ecosystem was worth CAD99B in 2025, with private companies at CAD56B after growing 3.9x since 2020.
• Quebec startups raised CAD1.8B in venture capital in 2024, up from CAD1.7B in 2023 but below the CAD4.4B raised in 2022.
• Manufacturing took 49% of Quebec VC funding from 2023 to H1 2025, up from 31% during the 2020-2022 boom.
• 0.77% of Quebec's VC-backed startups founded since 1990 became unicorns, the highest rate of any Canadian hub and seventh of the 18 hubs compared.
• Quebec's 80+ university spinouts were worth CAD595M combined in 2025 so far, nine times their CAD66M value in 2020.
