Founders buy back their own AI company

eBrevia founders Adam Nguyen and Jacob Mundt have repurchased their AI company, which they originally founded in 2011. The company specializes in using artificial intelligence for contract review, due diligence, compliance, and business intelligence in the legal and financial sectors.

Developed with Columbia University's Data Science Institute, eBrevia's technology helps major law firms, corporations, and financial institutions analyze large document volumes. Their AI system, which incorporates generative AI, machine learning, and natural language processing, reduces document review time by 30-90% while increasing accuracy.

The platform comes pre-trained for common uses like mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, lease management, and general contract management. It can also be customized for various industries and practice areas.

CEO Adam Nguyen views the buyback as an opportunity to innovate at a crucial moment in AI's evolution, focusing on freeing professionals from routine tasks to focus on more meaningful challenges. CTO Jacob Mundt indicated this is the first step in a significant transformation period for the company.

The timing of the buyback appears strategic, as the company aims to leverage advances in collaborative intelligence to expand its offerings and enhance its commitment to client success.
