Jing Jin completes US$265.9M deal for Shanghai cloud firm Yovole

What's the deal? Hong Kong-listed Jing Jin New Energy Holdings (stock code: 1783) has acquired the entire issued share capital of Shanghai Yovole Cloud Computing. The company said on November 6, 2026 that ownership of Yovole has transferred and the related industrial and commercial registrations are complete, making Yovole a direct wholly owned subsidiary.

The terms: Jing Jin funded the acquisition partly through issuing consideration shares under a general mandate from shareholders. The deal closed the US$265.9M transaction first announced in June, originally structured as staged payments of cash and roughly 33.06 million consideration shares.

What's the endgame? Jing Jin's core business sits in new energy and circular-economy infrastructure. The acquisition pushes it into cloud computing and digital infrastructure, with proceeds set to integrate the new assets and advance a combined new-energy and cloud strategy. Yovole has signalled plans to expand into AI computing centres and compute leasing.

Why now? The deal lands amid rising investment in data centres and AI compute. In Hong Kong alone, SenseTime and OXODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → have advanced AI data centre projects, while Amazon has agreed to acquire local data centre assets.

What could go wrong? Closing a deal is not the same as realising synergies. Returns depend on how smoothly Jing Jin integrates Yovole, locks in customer contracts, and turns the acquisition into profit.

The signal: A new-energy firm buying its way into cloud infrastructure shows how far the AI compute boom is pulling capital across unrelated sectors — and how quickly traditional infrastructure players are repositioning around digital demand.
