Mews Partners buys OPEO to build a European industrial consulting leader
What's the deal? French management consultancy Mews Partners has acquired OPEODealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Paris-based manufacturing consulting firm with around 40 consultants. Terms were undisclosed. The deal adds expertise in manufacturing and operational excellence and broadens Mews’ reach among mid-sized companies and SMEs.
Who's who? Founded in 1992 in Toulouse, Mews Partners has about 350 employees and roughly 40 partners across seven offices in France and Germany, with €70 million in 2026 revenue. OPEO, established in 2012, works with industrial clients and brings stronger exposure to pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and medical devices.
Why now? The acquisition is the first under Mews Partners’ five-year “Mews Up” growth plan, launched about a year ago, and follows Azulis CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →’s investment in the firm in March 2026. OPEO’s previous backer, Ocean Peak Group, is exiting its stake.
What's the endgame? Mews Partners wants to become “a European leader in operations consulting for industrial clients.” It plans to deepen its presence in France, build on operations in Germany, and enter new markets such as Italy. The firm expects roughly 20% growth this year.
What changes? OPEO’s founders and teams are staying, and the firm will keep its identity. “Joining Mews Partners allows us to apply those same high standards on a larger scale, while holding on to what makes OPEO what it is,” said David Machenaud, founding partner of OPEO.
The signal: With terms undisclosed and teams retained, this is less a large consolidation play than a capability-and-growth step. It reflects a wider push to build pan-European consulting platforms focused on reindustrialisation. “We’re aiming to become the go-to consulting firm for European industry,” said Franck Vigilant, chief executive officer of Mews Partners.
