Israel’s movement buys assets of Swiss digital-health firm dacadoo
What's the deal? Israel-based wellness group movementDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired the technology and intellectual property assets of Swiss digital-health company dacadoo. The deal, announced in November 2026, covers dacadoo’s software, source code, and 51 registered patents. Terms were not disclosed.
What do they do? Over 15 years, dacadoo built a digital-health engagement platform used by insurers, healthcare organizations, and large employers across dozens of countries, including the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. Movement runs research-based behavior-change platforms serving more than 2.5 million users.
What changes for customers? Existing dacadoo clients can keep using the platform, now paired with movement’s technologies. “Stable continuity for them is our first priority,” said Yogev Matok, chief executive officer of movement’s Wellbeing Division.
The structure: This is an asset purchase, not necessarily a takeover of the company itself. Dacadoo, founded in 2010 by internet entrepreneur Peter Ohnemus, now trades as dacadoo ag in liquidation.
What's the endgame? Movement frames the move as part of a broader global expansion. Matok said the group wants to “build on what dacadoo has created and to welcome its customers,” combining its own platforms with dacadoo’s international footprint.
The acquirer points to clinical results to back its approach. In a peer-reviewed study with Harvard Medical School and Tel Aviv University, published in Communications Medicine, platform users showed an 18% lower incidence of type 2 diabetes, a 9% lower incidence of stroke, and a 5% lower incidence of cardiovascular disease than matched nonusers.
The signal: Digital-health dealmaking has accelerated in 2026, with VitalityDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →’s purchases of IcarioDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Ramp HealthDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → broadening its payer and employer reach. The dacadoo deal fits that consolidation pattern, but with no disclosed price or integration plans, the scale of its strategic impact remains unclear.
