CASABOT opens CIS headquarters in Tbilisi, backed by 2080 Ventures

What's the deal? CASABOTDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a privacy-first AI Home platform, has opened CASABOT Georgia in Tbilisi as its regional headquarters for the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Caucasus. The expansion is backed by 2080 VenturesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → through the Innovative Startup Acceleration Program of the Georgia Innovation and Technology Agency (GITA).

What does CASABOT do? The Dubai-headquartered company turns any home or hotel room into an AI Home. Its edge-native operating system, HiveOS, runs locally on in-home hardware and unifies more than 3,000 device brands across protocols including Zigbee, Z-Wave, Matter and Thread. Its AI agent, BOTty, lets users control their space by voice in 92 languages, through augmented reality, on Apple Watch and WhatsApp.

What changes for the region? The Tbilisi team will lead CASABOT's channel-only go-to-market, recruiting distributors and systems integrators that deliver the platform to residential developers, hotel operators and telecom carriers. It will also run regional localisation, with a Georgian-language edition of casabot.com due in December.

Why Tbilisi? "Tbilisi gives CASABOT a natural bridge between the Gulf, Europe and the CIS," said chief executive officer Mario Schiano Lo Moriello. He cited Georgia's engineering talent, innovation agency and growing real estate and hospitality market.

What's the endgame? For hotels, CASABOT integrates with Oracle OPERA and says it can cut staff workload by up to 47% — a company-reported figure. The firm unveiled the world's first AI Home in Dubai in February 2026 and runs 25 pilot deployments across seven countries.

What could go wrong? The announcement names no funding amount, signed distribution deals or deployments in the region. It is a partner-and-sales hub rather than evidence of commercial traction, so its success hinges on the partner network it builds.

The signal: The move fits Georgia's push to attract technology startups through GITA grants and international accelerators. For CASABOT, it is a modest market-entry step whose significance will depend on the partners and customers it secures across the region.
