Aliter Capital closes £50m fund to scale UK tech platforms TXP, Serbus

What's the deal? Aliter CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the Glasgow- and London-based private equity firm, has completed fundraising for a £50 million Annex Fund. The capital will back growth and add-on acquisitions at two of its technology platforms, TXP and SerbusDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

The companies: TXP (Technology x People) is a systems integrator focused on technology consulting and resourcing. Serbus delivers secure networking and communications for the UK's critical national infrastructure.

Why now? Aliter first invested in both businesses in 2022. It has since supported three add-on acquisitions at each, rebranding them as TXP and Serbus in 2025 and 2026. The new fund is dedicated capital for the next phase of that buy-and-build strategy.

Who's backing it? The Annex Fund was backed exclusively by existing institutional investors from Aliter Capital II, its £134 million fund launched in 2022.

What's the endgame? The money lets Aliter retain its existing interests while funding a wider range of strategic acquisitions. "TXP and Serbus have great management teams, with a clarity of vision and exciting plans for future growth," said Aliter partner Greig Brown.

TXP chief executive John Antunes said the backing "gives us further firepower to accelerate our buy-and-build ambitions." Serbus group CEO Simon Fieldhouse said the firm is "building a sovereign, market leading group with security in its DNA."

The signal: The raise is a focused follow-on, not a broad new buyout vehicle — a sign of investors doubling down on proven platforms serving demand for IT services and critical-infrastructure communications.
