What's the deal? Ingersoll RandDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (NYSE: IR) has acquired IVEK CorporationDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a US maker of small-volume precision liquid metering and dispensing systems, for an undisclosed sum. IVEK adds about $40 million in annual revenue and joins the Life Sciences platform within Ingersoll Rand's Precision and Science Technologies segment.

What does IVEK do? The family-owned company designs fluidic systems, ceramic positive-displacement technology, and OEM integration for healthcare, diagnostics, medical device, and biomedical customers. Its specialty is applications where volumetric accuracy and reliability affect product quality, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

The terms: Ingersoll Rand did not disclose a price but said it bought the business at a low-double-digit multiple of 2025 adjusted EBITDA before synergies.

Why now? The deal extends a run of life-sciences bolt-ons. Ingersoll Rand bought lab-automation maker ScinomixDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in January and fluid-handling company Fox in May, following earlier purchases in adjacent technologies.

What's the endgame? "The addition of IVEK to Ingersoll Rand meaningfully expands our life sciences capabilities in precision liquid metering and dispensing," said chairman and chief executive officer Vicente Reynal. The acquisition strengthens the company's ability to offer customisable, high-performance precision pump technologies to life-sciences customers.

The signal: The timing is notable: Ingersoll Rand reported low-double-digit growth in life-sciences orders and revenue in the third quarter, while flagging M&A as a priority and citing a large acquisition pipeline. IVEK looks less like a transformational deal and more like a targeted expansion in an already strong business.
