Aramco takes 49% of HUMAIN with about $2.6B in cash plus AI assets; PIF keeps 51%

What's the deal? PIF and Aramco announced on 1 November 2026 the closing of a transaction in which Aramco, through a wholly owned subsidiary, acquires a 49% stake in Saudi AI company HUMAIN. The Public Investment Fund retains 51%. Aramco is transferring key AI assets and contributing approximately SAR 9.9 billion ($2.6 billion) in cash to HUMAIN in 2026. No valuation was disclosed.

Context The closing formalises an agreement first announced in October 2025. PIF launched HUMAIN in May 2025 to build a full-stack AI business spanning data centres, high-performance compute, cloud, models such as ALLaM, and industry applications. The companies say the transaction supports HUMAIN's plan to deploy 3 gigawatts of AI data centre capacity by 2030, and Aramco expects to use HUMAIN's infrastructure to deploy AI across its own industrial operations.
