Shitou adds $1.4M guarantee for subsidiary as guarantee balance hits $10.6M

Why now? The guarantee falls within the US$24.8M annual limit approved by Shitou's board on February 27, 2026 and by shareholders on March 20, so no further sign-off was needed. The master contract covers credit facilities — loans, bank acceptance, discounting, trade finance, letters of guarantee, and factoring — running from November 24, 2026 to November 23, 2027.
By the numbers: Total guarantees for subsidiaries now reach US$12.9M, equal to 31.34% of net assets. The guarantee period runs three years from the maturity of the underlying debt.
What could go wrong? Shitou bears joint liability if Kunting fails to repay, creating a contingent liability.
