CapMan locks in €30M loan to refinance 2027 bond early

What's the deal? CapManDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Nasdaq Helsinki-listed Nordic private asset manager, has agreed a €30 million sustainability-linked loan facility. The deal splits into two €15 million tranches — one an amortising loan with semi-annual repayments, the other a bullet loan due at maturity.

The terms: The loans carry a three-year maturity from signing, with an option to extend by two more years. They include customary covenants and standard terms, and link financing costs to CapMan's sustainability targets.

Why now? CapMan plans to use the proceeds to refinance its €40 million senior bond maturing in April 2027, with the refinancing set for the first half of that year. "The new facility secures the refinancing of our bond maturing next year well in advance and provides us with further financial flexibility going forward," said chief financial officer Atte Rissanen.

Context: The facility adds to an existing debt stack that, as of June 2026, included €40 million of 2022 notes and €60 million of 2024 notes, both sustainability-linked. At midyear, CapMan reported €60.4 million in net debt and a separate €20 million credit facility, while staying within its financing covenants.

By the numbers: CapMan managed €7.7 billion in assets as of June 30, 2026, a record and up 6% since the start of the year. First-half fee income reached €31.1 million and fee profit €3.6 million, up 16% and 28% year on year. The firm employs around 200 people across nine European cities.

The signal: This is a liquidity and refinancing move, not fresh capital for a new strategy. By pairing debt with sustainability-linked terms — a pattern CapMan has repeated across its recent notes — the firm is extending a financing playbook that ties its cost of capital to its climate commitments.
