Evolany buys Japan's Izu Info to bolster AI product development
What's the deal? Japanese AI firm EvolanyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired all shares of system developer Izu InfoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, effective October 1, 2026, bringing it into the group. The price was undisclosed.
Evolany, founded in 2018 and based in Yokohama, builds LINE-linked customer communication and marketing software, led by its flagship product anybot . Izu Info, established in 2005, develops web and business systems and handles contract development, operations, and quality management.
Why now? Evolany said generative AI is reshaping how companies communicate with customers, raising the bar for both development speed and reliability. It called lifting its development capability "a key management challenge."
What's the endgame? By folding in Izu Info's engineers and know-how across system development, HR, and e-commerce, Evolany aims to expand its development team and speed up new features. It also plans to strengthen AI-focused development and quality assurance for products including AnyApps and AnyBase .
Evolany said anybot has supported LINE-based customer communication for a cumulative 17,000 companies, including enterprise clients.
"By combining the solid technical skills that Izu Info's people have built up with Evolany's AI and product development expertise, I am confident we can deliver even greater value to our customers," said chief executive officer So Yu.
What could go wrong? Success hinges on more than hiring engineers; Evolany must apply Izu Info's development know-how to its own products to justify the deal.
The signal: AI and SaaS firms keep buying their way to more engineering muscle. In 2026, PKSHA Technology made software developer Biz FreakDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → a subsidiary, while SmartHR was reported to have acquired several companies — a pattern Evolany now joins.
