Sponsor Capital buys control of Finnish marketing-logistics firm Velox

What's the deal? Finnish private equity firm Sponsor CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has become the majority owner of Velox Logistiikka, a marketing-logistics company based in Tuusula, Finland, in a buyout completed on October 6, 2026. Terms were not disclosed. Velox's existing management, chief executive officer Eeva Ylimartimo and Markus Autio, stay on as significant shareholders.

What does Velox do? Velox calls itself Finland's only firm focused purely on marketing logistics, combining the storage, management, and distribution of marketing and sales-promotion materials with a digital service platform. Its customers include domestic and international pharmaceutical, food, and beverage companies. Revenue reached €6.7 million last year.

Why now? The deal follows a run of expansion. In September 2025 Velox acquired Mail Service Finland, adding campaign planning, event-marketing, and print capabilities, after earlier folding Pro Mail into the business.

What's the endgame? Sponsor Capital plans to back further growth through technology investment, acquisitions, and possible international expansion. "Sponsor Capital's involvement brings us experience and expertise, particularly in executing acquisitions and accelerating growth," Ylimartimo said (translated from Finnish).

The investor echoed that ambition. "We see significant growth potential in the company, through organic growth, acquisitions, and internationalisation," said Jussi Seppälä of Sponsor Capital (translated from Finnish). The firm says the deal will not affect Velox's employees, customers, or partners.

The signal: The buyout fits Sponsor Capital's strategy of building mid-sized Finnish service and logistics groups through acquisitions. For Velox, it points towards a more consolidated, broader-service platform rather than any immediate operational change.
