Driftwood buys SoStereo to bolster FlyteVu's music arm
What's the deal? Driftwood Music Group (DMG) has acquired SoStereoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a music and sonic strategy company, and is folding it into FlyteVuDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, the creative and culture agency DMG backed in 2025. Terms were not disclosed.
What does SoStereo do? It helps brands pick and create sound, combining data-driven sonic strategy and proprietary technology with music licensing from a global catalogue, original production, and sonic branding. The company will keep operating as a standalone business under its own brand, led by chief executive officer Lindsey Camerota.
What's the endgame? DMG, a family-owned investment and operating platform focused on brand, culture, and entertainment, is assembling a portfolio at that intersection. SoStereo extends FlyteVu's services into music search, licensing, sonic branding, and original composition.
Why now? FlyteVu was DMG's first investment, and the group has since backed its expansion into new US markets, talent booking, and music licensing. Adding SoStereo deepens the music and audio side of that build-out.
"SoStereo is a natural addition to the greater vision of FlyteVu as we strengthen and broaden our service offering to clients," said Laura Hutfless, chief executive officer and founder of FlyteVu.
The signal: The deal fits a wider pattern of agencies bundling specialist creative and entertainment services to pitch brands more integrated campaigns — here, by putting audio strategy alongside culture-led marketing.
