OutSolve buys AI firm Legets in its 18th deal since 2016
What's the deal? OutSolveDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a US-based HR Compliance as a Service provider, has acquired Legets from Reis Holdings, a Florida-based AI development firm. Terms were undisclosed. The deal is OutSolve's 18th acquisition since 2016.
What's the endgame? Legets adds AI-assisted regulatory monitoring to OutSolve's consultant-led model. Its technology will power a feature called Compliance Intelligence, flagging regulatory changes and feeding them to OutSolve's experts for interpretation and action planning.
Why now? Employers are juggling federal regulatory rollbacks alongside expanding state and local rules. In the 18 months through October 2026, they faced more than 400 federal and state employment-related legal changes.
What changes for customers? The tool will sit alongside OutSolve's services for Form I-9 verification, federal and state reporting, pay equity, and labor law posters. OutSolve says it gives clients earlier visibility into rule changes, plus task owners and due dates for responding.
Founder and chief executive officer Jeremy Mancheski framed the technology as support, not a substitute, for staff. "AI-enablement gives us additional horsepower, but HR compliance still needs an experienced driver," he said.
Clients "don't just need to know what regulations have changed," said Nathan Stenz, vice president of product strategy. "They need to know if a change applies to them, what to do about it, and who owns the next step to remain compliant."
The signal: The deal fits a wider HR-tech push to fold compliance monitoring into broader platforms. Paychex bought employment-law provider SixFiftyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in 2025, SD WorxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → launched its Legal Watch service in April 2026, and Paylocity acquired AI-native AidoraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → in July 2026. Rather than a market-moving transaction, it shows compliance providers using AI to link rule detection with expert interpretation — a useful edge as employers track shifting requirements across jurisdictions.
