Irth buys NetBenefit to track social impact of infrastructure projects
What's the deal? IrthDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Columbus, Ohio-based enterprise software provider for critical infrastructure, has acquired NetBenefit Software, which tracks socioeconomic impact and local content for extractive and energy projects. Terms were not disclosed. The deal was announced on October 27, 2026.
What each side brings: Irth sells stakeholder and land management tools across utilities, telecoms, oil and gas, renewable energy, and mining. NetBenefit adds software for measuring community commitments, grievances, and the workforce and procurement benefits that projects generate for local communities.
What's the endgame? Irth wants to give customers a single view of stakeholder relationships, land, commitments, and community impact. "NetBenefit is a natural extension of what we're building at Irth," said Patrick Gregoire, general manager for stakeholder and land management.
Why now? The purchase extends a visible buy-and-build run. In October 2025, Irth acquired stakeholder-engagement platform BorealisDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →; two months earlier, TPG agreed to buy Irth from Blackstone.
What's added, not duplicated: Rather than overlap with Irth's land tools, NetBenefit adds a distinct layer tracking community commitments and socioeconomic outcomes. Its AI investment will also feed Irth's own AI strategy, the company said.
The signal: With terms undisclosed, the financial weight is unclear; the strategic fit is the point. Infrastructure and extractive-sector clients face growing pressure to demonstrate community benefits alongside land rights — and Irth is assembling the tools to let them prove it in one place.
