The round, announced in October 2026, brings the company's total funding to €1.7 million.

What does it do? Founded in 2020, Workearly offers online upskilling and reskilling courses, pairing certifications with role-playing scenarios and AI-driven personalised learning. It says it has trained more than 200,000 learners and issued over 40,000 certifications.

Why now? The company says its learner base doubled over 12 months. New capital from Metavallon VC and angel investors will fund proprietary technology, AI-based learning, and expansion abroad, including into Poland.

What's the endgame? "When we started in 2020, we had a clear vision: to make learning more accessible, practical, and meaningfully connected to career growth," said chief executive officer and co-founder Dimitris Kyriakatis (translated from Greek). The company first raised €1.1 million from Metavallon VC in June 2024.

The signal: European edtech funding fell 23.7% year on year to €284 million across 28 rounds in H1 2026. Against that backdrop, Workearly's modest seed extension — sitting around the median for deal size — signals continued investor appetite for upskilling platforms that tie training to measurable job-market outcomes.
