Five Navarra startups make Spain's TOP101; Uraphex and Integralia honoured in Pamplona
What's the deal? CEIN, Navarra's public business and innovation centre, opened its Startup Day 2026 with an awards gala on October 26 at Pamplona's Zentral venue. Five regional startups — Amets BiotechnologyDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, MIMO BiosciencesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Nanogrow Biotech, Naubat Technologies, and Opportunity HealthDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → — were named among Spain's TOP101 Spain Up Nation. UraphexDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Integralia Movilidad took separate CEIN recognitions.
What's the endgame? The TOP101 awards, now in their third edition, are run by Spain's National Innovation Company (ENISA) and the Foro ADR regional development association, which includes CEIN and SodenaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. They distinguish 101 Spanish tech-based firms with growth potential and economic, social, or environmental impact. Navarra fielded 14 candidacies, judged by a regional committee.
Who stood out? Health drove the regional list: four of the five firms work in the sector. Amets focuses on gene-therapy research for rare diseases, MIMO runs preclinical studies in hematology and immuno-oncology, and Nanogrow develops nanoantibody-based drugs. Opportunity Health is building a self-applicable automatic anti-choking device, while Naubat works in electric-vehicle telemetry.
Why Uraphex? It won the award for the startup in CEIN's innovation incubators that created the most jobs — 18 by September. The company develops industrial water-reuse solutions and has received public support for applying AI to water-treatment efficiency.
Why now? The recognitions land amid modest growth in Spanish startup financing. Companies raised €2.06bn in the first half of 2026, up 5% year on year, with investment outside Madrid and Barcelona rising 25%, according to the Bankinter observatory. The national TOP101 gala takes place November 18 and 19 in Logroño, La Rioja.
The signal: Navarra's showing marks regional breadth across biotech, health, and mobility rather than a major deal. As investment spreads beyond Spain's two largest hubs, awards like these flag where the next wave of tech-based firms may emerge.
