China Agri-Products taps bond program again for $2.55M amid falling profit

What's the deal? China Agri-Products ExchangeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has raised US$2.42M in post-IPO debt, issuing October 2038 notes under its US$120.9M medium-term note programme. The company announced the issue in October 2026.

Why now? The raise marks a quick re-raise and continues a pattern of small tranches drawn under the same programme. China Agri-Products issued US$4.71M in March and US$2.66M in July 2026.

What's the endgame? Rather than a new financing initiative, the issue adds incremental debt to fund operations. Its interest-bearing borrowings and unsecured notes have risen to about US$171.6M.

What could go wrong? The recurring note sales come as earnings weaken. The company's latest full-year results show revenue down 28.9% to US$45.6M and net profit down 53.1% to US$1.83M.

Cash did improve to US$54M, offering some cushion against the rising debt load.

The signal: Small, repeated tranches under a standing note programme point to a company leaning on debt markets to steady itself through a downturn—a measured approach that keeps funding flowing without a single large, market-moving raise.
