Bechtle buys Irish reseller ITQuotes to push past €70M in Ireland

What's the deal? Bechtle, mainland Europe's largest reseller, has acquired Dublin-based ITQuotes, a provider of IT procurement, hardware, software, and deployment services for enterprise and public-sector customers. The target generates more than €30 million in annual revenue with a team of around 20 employees. Terms were not disclosed.

What changes? The deal lifts Bechtle's Irish revenue above €70 million and marks its first acquisition in the country, where it has operated since 2008. Founders Joe Finucane and Brian Lehane will stay on to support integration.

What's the endgame? Bechtle plans to cross-sell its broader portfolio — cyber security, infrastructure, cloud, and software — into ITQuotes' customer base. It is repeating the playbook used on 2023 UK purchase Tangible BenefitDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which it says it doubled over three years.

"We feel strongly we can repeat the success we have achieved since acquiring Tangible Benefit in the UK," said James Napp, regional director for UK and Ireland.

Why now? Bechtle is acquiring from a position of strength. Second-quarter revenue rose 16.5% and pre-tax earnings 20.1%, and it reported a record €3.5 billion order backlog while raising its 2026 forecast. ITQuotes is one of several European deals it has closed this year.

What could go wrong? This is a targeted extension, not a transformative buy. The test is whether cross-selling delivers growth beyond ITQuotes' existing business.

The signal: Bechtle, whose top line hit €8.6 billion last year, continues to consolidate smaller regional resellers into its European network. The strategy trades scale for reach, betting that local procurement specialists become more valuable once plugged into a wider solutions portfolio.
