Lifco buys UK glazing maker Maxlight in latest bolt-on

What's the deal? Swedish acquisition group LifcoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has agreed to buy all shares in Maxlight, a London-based maker of slim-frame aluminium sliding doors and other glazing for high-end homes. The price was undisclosed. Maxlight had roughly £10 million in net sales in 2025 and employs 50 people.

What's the endgame? Lifco builds its business by acquiring and holding niche market-leading companies, pitching itself as a "safe haven for small and medium-sized businesses." Maxlight will join its Systems Solutions business area, in the Infrastructure Products division, and is expected to be consolidated in Q4 2026.

Why now? The deal is one of several this year. Lifco said it had acquired eight businesses in 2026 with combined turnover above US$120.9M, extending its UK footprint in Systems Solutions.

The numbers: Lifco said the acquisition will not materially affect its 2026 earnings or financial position. In its latest reported quarter, sales grew 8%, with acquisitions contributing more than organic growth. For 2025, the group reported EBITA of US$761.5M on net sales of US$3.42B, a 22.4% margin.

The signal: Lifco runs a serial-acquirer playbook — many small, cash-generative deals rather than big bets. Maxlight is a modest bolt-on; the real test is its contribution once consolidated and absorbed into Lifco's decentralised model.
