GoPOS lands Spire Capital backing to lead HoReCa software consolidation

What's the deal? Polish hospitality software maker GoPOSDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has secured a growth-equity investment from private equity firm Spire CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Partners, which took a significant minority stake. The Kraków-based company, founded in 2016, builds cloud point-of-sale (POS) software in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model for restaurants and hotels.

How big? The amount was undisclosed. GoPOS serves more than 6,500 active food-service and hotel locations and processes roughly 8 billion złoty in annual gross merchandise value.

What's the endgame? GoPOS plans to use the capital for product development and acquisitions of smaller providers, with opportunistic international deals also on the table. The aim, chief executive Grzegorz Kożuchowski said, is building "a pan-European platform."

By the numbers: GoPOS reported 15.3 million złoty in revenue last year — nearly double its 2023 figure — with about 1 million złoty in operating profit and close to 80 staff. The company says it is growing monthly recurring revenue 50–60% year over year.

Why now? Poland has roughly 90,000 food-service venues, but cloud POS penetration sits at about 25%, with half still running on traditional cash registers. The segment is growing 10–15% a year as operators move from on-premise systems to flexible cloud tools.

The investor's view: "GoPOS is a leader in the cloud segment, and at the same time one of the fastest-growing companies on the market," said Daniel Dąbrowski, investment director at Spire Capital Partners (translated from Polish). The firm says it has over 100 million złoty available for further deals.

The signal: The deal reflects a shift toward private-equity-backed consolidation in hospitality software; Spire already backs hotel-management provider BetasiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, and GoPOS adds restaurant POS exposure. For a startup that bootstrapped for nearly a decade without venture capital, institutional backing marks a turn — though the consolidation strategy remains a plan, not yet a record of completed acquisitions.
