Deal Box opens $10M fund tied to Bitcoin token XRB
What's the deal? Deal BoxDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has opened a $10 million offering for Deal Box Fund I, a venture fund giving accredited investors exposure to XRB, the native token of OrobitDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a protocol that aims to bring enforceable contracts to Bitcoin. The Scottsdale-based firm says the fund has raised more than $2 million since its first close.
The structure: Investors do not buy XRB directly. The fund holds a contractual right to receive the token from its issuer, Dark Fusion Holdings, and offers unsecured notes tied to that position. The fund's own XRB remains under a lock-up and staged release.
What's the endgame? Orobit is built to make Bitcoin programmable without moving the bitcoin itself, committing each contract call inside a Bitcoin transaction so independent nodes can replay it. XRB is its fuel: contracts stake and burn it to pay for computation, with supply capped at 500,000,000 tokens and a burn floor of 300,000,000.
Why Deal Box? The firm has packaged offerings for more than 100 companies since 2016 and is building infrastructure for tokenized private markets. It has worked with Orobit since December 2024, packaging asset terms that Orobit turns into contract state settled on Bitcoin.
"Bitcoin is the most trusted ledger in the market. Orobit makes it programmable without moving the bitcoin and without adding a consensus layer on top, and that is the piece real-world assets have been waiting for," said Dylan T. Carter, manager of Deal Box Fund I, which he also runs.
What could go wrong? This is an early-stage bet on a less-established approach to Bitcoin tokenization, competing with projects such as Liquid and Stacks. Orobit's fuel mechanics are not yet active, and the notes carry the risks of an unsecured contractual position rather than direct ownership.
The signal: Tokenized real-world assets reached $19.3 billion in on-chain market value by March 2026, up 257% from the start of 2025, per CoinGeckoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. But six of seven leading RWA protocol tokens fell over that period — a reminder that growth in tokenized assets has not translated into returns on the infrastructure tokens underpinning them.
