Winamp Group draws €675,000 in new bond financing amid debt restructuring

What's the deal? WinampDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Group, the company behind the pioneering digital music player, said Hexagon Capital Fund has subscribed to three additional bond tranches totalling €675,000. The tranches — of €300,000, €100,000, and €275,000 — fall under a financing agreement of up to €2 million announced in September 2025.

Why now? The move comes as Winamp manages significant debt pressure. It reported €13.1 million in financial debt at the end of 2025 and, in 2026, repaid about €5.2 million to a long-standing lender while restructuring the remainder over 36 months.

Mind the structure: This is liquidity support, not a fresh equity raise. Maxximum SRL, the company's reference shareholder, acquired earlier bond tranches from Hexagon in exchange for Winamp shares it already held — letting the company settle those bonds without drawing on cash.

What could go wrong? The shareholder support carries terms. Maxximum holds a new 24-month obligation of €643,729 at 8% interest, repayable in cash or shares; full repayment in shares would mean issuing 2,113,076 new ordinary shares, diluting existing holders.

Winamp, listed on Euronext Growth in Paris and Brussels, reported first-half 2026 revenue of €1.04 million, down from €1.13 million a year earlier, as it expands its artist-services platform. It is set to publish H1 2026 results on October 31.

The signal: The financing shows Winamp retaining access to capital amid financial strain — but its reliance on shareholder support and share-based repayment makes this less a growth milestone than a sign of how far the company must stretch to stay funded.
