Excellera buys Brussels firm Fourtold, pushing revenue past €80M

What's the deal? Excellera, the Milan-based corporate affairs group, has acquired FourtoldDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Brussels public affairs and policy communications consultancy, for an undisclosed sum. Fourtold operates in Brussels since 2018 and is a certified B Corp, with around 30 specialists spanning healthcare, technology and the energy transition.

Why now? The purchase extends a rapid acquisition drive since ICGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an alternative asset manager, became Excellera's principal financial partner in December 2025. Earlier deals added Italy's Ad Hoc Communication AdvisorsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and, more recently, UK financial-communications firm Alma Strategic Communications.

What's the endgame? Excellera gains a stronger foothold in Europe's main decision-making centre and a wider policy-and-communications offer. "Brussels is where Europe's regulatory framework is shaped," said chief executive officer Paolo Zanetto, calling it "a critical hub for companies and associations across every sector of the economy."

With the deal, Excellera passes €80 million in revenue and reaches more than 400 professionals across 15 offices.

Fourtold will be led by partners Matthew Willis and Nicola Scocchi, who are reinvesting most of the proceeds in the group. Principal founder Deborah Parriss stays with the business.

The signal: The deal reflects a broader consolidation in public affairs and corporate communications, with Excellera assembling complementary capabilities and geographies rather than making a single scale acquisition.
