Adavale lands $3.27M placement to push Parkes gold toward a study

What's the deal? Adavale ResourcesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has secured firm commitments for a US$3.01M (≈$3.27 million) post-IPO equity placement to fund drilling and development work at its Parkes gold-copper project in central New South Wales. The ASX-listed company priced the two-tranche raising at US$0.02 per share, an 11.8% discount to its October 19 close.

Who's backing it? Existing shareholders and new strategic investors, including Adavale's cornerstone investor, committed to the placement of up to 155 million new shares. Directors and management subscribed for US$77.6K worth of shares, subject to shareholder approval at the late-November annual general meeting.

Why now? The raise follows a busy 20 months in which Adavale built a gold resource of about 383,000 ounces at Parkes, up from nothing when it acquired the project in 2025. A September update lifted the flagship London-Victoria deposit to roughly 263,000 ounces, including 126,000 ounces in the indicated category.

What's the money for? Proceeds will fund expansion drilling around London-Victoria and nearby satellite deposits, including Calarie, plus a scoping study due next month. The first tranche of about 91.48 million shares settles October 28; the second tranche needs shareholder approval.

What's the endgame? Parkes sits within the Macquarie Arc of the Lachlan Fold Belt, a province hosting major deposits such as Cadia and Northparkes. Adavale holds a 70km belt-scale position, one of four companies to dominate the district alongside FortescueDealroom has a profile for this one. What could go wrong? The second tranche and directors' participation still hinge on shareholder approval. The scoping study and further drilling will test whether the expanded resource can support a viable development case.

The signal: The placement marks a step-up from Adavale's previous round and fits a broader stream of funding for NSW exploration, buoyed by gold prices above US$4,100 an ounce. The company's significance rests less on the size of the raise than on moving a defined resource toward a formal study.
