Econocom buys majority of Germany's ICT in European audiovisual push

Why now? Econocom first announced the 70% ICT stake in July 2025 as part of a four-company push into audiovisual integration across Germany, Spain, Ireland, and the UK, financed partly by a €225 million Schuldschein placement. The deal sits within Econocom's "One Econocom" strategy to build audiovisual into a larger European growth business.
By the numbers: ICT adds roughly €40 million in annual sales and 160 employees. Econocom, listed on Euronext Brussels and founded 50 years ago, reported €2.7 billion in revenue in 2024 with over 8,500 employees. Trade coverage estimated the combined audiovisual and digital-signage business at about €300 million in revenue.
The signal: This is strategic consolidation, not an isolated ownership change — Econocom has since credited its 2025 audiovisual acquisitions for growth in its Products & Solutions segment. The push positions it to compete as a leading audiovisual integrator across Europe.
