Amplified buys AI recruiter Higher to chase talent demand
What's the deal? London-based Amplified People Group has acquired HigherDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a recruitment specialist focused on AI and engineering leadership hires. The terms were not disclosed. Higher will be merged into JBM, Amplified's executive search brand, which handles fractional and permanent general management, operations, and go-to-market roles.
Why now? Amplified pointed to surging demand for technology talent. "We have witnessed a massive demand for AI talent over the last eighteen months, with our clients clamouring for AI and engineering leaders," said co-founder and chief executive Andrew Richardson.
What's the endgame? Founded in November 2023, Amplified backs technology companies from inception through to initial public offering, building a portfolio of specialist people and talent brands. Alongside JBM, it owns Foundation Partners, which provides embedded HR and talent support, and UnleashedDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which runs leadership development programmes. Higher adds specialist AI and engineering search expertise to the group.
What changes? The deal gives Higher access to Amplified's operational platform and wider search capabilities. "We're beyond excited to join Amplified and have the platform to scale our impact with both existing and new customers around the globe," said Kelly Gauthier, Higher's founder and managing director.
The two firms had already worked together, supporting AI productivity business Fyxer during a growth phase. Fyxer founder and chief executive Richard Hollingsworth called the deal "the perfect symbiosis of the skills they both bring."
The signal: Amplified is consolidating niche talent brands under one roof while keeping each distinct, betting that the race for AI and engineering leaders will keep driving demand for specialist search.
