TrueInsight buys CAM Logic's software arm to span design-to-shop-floor

What's the deal? TrueInsightDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Platinum Siemens channel partner based in Cottonwood Heights, Utah, has acquired the software division of CAM LogicDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an Auburn Hills, Michigan-based Siemens partner. The companies announced the deal on October 20, 2026; terms were not disclosed.

What each side brings: CAM Logic's software division has served hundreds of customers with Siemens NX, Solid Edge, Teamcenter, CAM and Tecnomatix software, plus engineering and training. TrueInsight adds its Simcenter, STAR-CCM+ simulation portfolio and data analytics and AI tools.

What's the endgame? The combined company aims to give engineering teams a single partner from the first CAD model through simulation to the shop floor. The deal also deepens TrueInsight's presence in the Midwest manufacturing corridor.

Why it matters to customers: CAM Logic customers keep their current account and support contacts, and existing licenses, maintenance agreements and training commitments stay in effect. The acquisition covers only the software division; CAM Logic's manufacturing services unit continues to operate as is.

"CAM Logic has earned the trust of hundreds of customers by doing the hard work of supporting them throughout their development process, not just selling licenses," said Kyle Hansen, chief executive officer of TrueInsight.

CAM Logic owner Yvonne Wiedemann said joining TrueInsight "keeps the people and support our customers rely upon, and adds simulation, analytics and engineering services that our customers have been asking for."

The signal: This is a specialist-channel consolidation rather than a headline software transaction. It lands as Siemens deepens its engineering-software portfolio — including its roughly $10 billion Altair acquisition — and as rivals like Accenture build services capacity around Siemens technology; the value here is in channel reach and design-to-manufacturing expertise.
