Intellivix's $16.9M Kosdaq IPO draws $14.6B in orders at top price

What's the deal? IntellivixDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a South Korean safety-AI company, has set its Kosdaq IPO price at the top of its range, US$7.55 per share, after institutional demand. It will raise US$18.9M (≈$16.9 million) by issuing 2.5 million new shares, with an expected market capitalisation of about US$85.5M.

Why now? The offering follows institutional bookbuilding held from October 12 to 16, which drew a 1,234-to-1 subscription ratio. Orders totalled roughly US$17.5B (≈$14.6 billion), a demand metric that is distinct from the actual amount raised. Every price-specified bid came in at or above the final US$7.55.

The numbers: Unusually for a tech listing, Intellivix pursued a general Kosdaq listing rather than a technical-exception route, citing 13 straight years of profit. In 2025 it reported revenue of US$39.1M, operating profit of US$4.11M, and net profit of US$4.53M.

What's the endgame? Founded in 2000, Intellivix supplies video-analysis AI for public and industrial safety, disaster response, and traffic. It is now pairing that technology with generative AI through products such as its GenAMS safety platform and VIXA agent, and plans to use the proceeds to expand into defence, robotics, and overseas markets in Japan and Southeast Asia.

What could go wrong? Strong bookbuilding does not guarantee post-listing performance. On the same day, AI firm Elice Group fell 32% below its IPO price despite brisk demand, a reminder that investor enthusiasm can quickly reverse. Whether Intellivix's defence and overseas bets translate into real revenue remains the key test.

Core shareholders, including the largest shareholder and chief executive officer, hold a 60.12% stake locked up for three years from listing. Immediately tradable shares stand at 2,715,067, or 23.95% of the total.

The signal: In a crowded AI IPO market, investors are increasingly rewarding companies that can show real revenue and profit alongside technology. Intellivix's profitable track record sets it apart — but its listing, due on Kosdaq on October 30 with Mirae Asset SecuritiesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → as lead underwriter, will test whether that discipline holds once trading begins.
